The ability to draw confidently is the most valuable tool in your painting kit. Theresa Goesling and Cindy Briggs will demonstrate drawing and painting basics to jumpstart your skills and help you explore making your own mark. Combining the two you'll learn how to capture subjects in watercolor. Learn basic approaches to how to draw and paint what you see, using observation, painting and drawing techniques to make it easier. A variety of brushwork techniques will be demonstrated from dry brush, to staccato and calligraphic line work to create textural washes and transparent glazes. Students will build confidence and have fun as they advance their brushwork and drawing skills completing simple exercises and a painting in class. The Make Every Day A Painting Instructors share tips from their books and tours as they encourage students to embrace their individual style and build confidence to go out and paint in the studio and on location.
