For nearly all artists, the future is not in originals, not even in giclee reproductions. The future in this digital age is in diversifying the use of your art in retail products you make and in retail products made by others licensed to use your art. Explore a world new to most visual artists - how to make good digital copies of your art, the range of retail products, working with selling partners, pricing, “stock” and licensing reproduction rights to clients from magazines to puzzle makers and negotiating terms, rights and fees. For all visual artists, 2D and 3D, who are interested in doing more with their art.

DRAWING: Holistic Drawing with Joe Mac Kechnie
Sunday, October 14th, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm
$75 for the 1-day workshop
JLMackechnie.com
If you have good basic drawing skills, you are ready to try more advanced and experimental drawing techniques. Exploring different realms of art expression using drawing can lead to exciting discoveries as an artist. You, the artist, are a unique filter through which life’s experiences are processed. As a result, responses and expressions emerge that are completely your own. No matter your style, temperament, or approach, drawing can function on three levels: representational, symbolic, and non-objective. This one day workshop will help you to develop your abilities to “see” like the master artist. That includes “seeing” and “expressing” the outside, visible world as well as your inner emotional, imaginative world. In this workshop you will be using charcoal, acrylic and oil pastels.

WATERCOLOR: Watercolor for the Absolute Beginner with Molly Murrah
Mondays October 29th, November 5th, 19th and 26th,
from 10 am to 1 pm each day
$150 for all 4 days, plus $5 materials fee
MollyMurrah.com
Molly's goal for this course is to provide enough instruction to beginning students so that - if they never take another class again - they will learn enough to paint for a lifetime in this exciting medium. Students will learn about colors, values and paint characteristics, the various types of watercolor papers available, brush strokes for certain effects, and many of the really fun and exciting techniques that can make your paintings special. Discover the magic of
watercolor with Molly Murrah.
