Rabbit Skin Glue with DS Acrylics

Judy Selogy will be demonstrating how you can use Rabbit Skin Glue and Fabric to create sculptural elements that add dimension to acrylic paintings. Judy will talk about the historical use of Rabbit Skin Glue in Art and her UN-traditional approach for using as an active part of the artwork.

She’ll show you how to mix it up (she uses a crock pot to keep it warm while working with it) and how to use it by dipping fabric into it. As the Rabbit Skin Glue thickens or “jells” at room temperature, it holds the shapes that you sculpt it into. It quickly sets, then after a week to cure, it’s ready to be gessoed, then for painting.
