This Sunday, August 14th, 2011, learn how to “TURN YOUR ART INTO CARDS – AND CASH - Workshop with Ray Pfortner.
Making greeting cards from your art is great for self-promotion and gifts. But what about selling your cards? How do you price them? Where can you sell them – and how? Discuss how to manufacture your cards, but the focus will be on how to turn those cards into cash – through direct sales and selling partners. We will also explore how to license your art to commercial card companies. The objectives of this workshop are simple:
1) To prove that selling cards is one of the best (i.e., the safest, least costly, most approachable and easily tackled) ways to make more of a business of your art.
(2) To get you started immediately making and selling your own cards.
(3) To make sure you will never look at a greeting card, including your own, the same way again.
For visual artists working in all media, from painting to collage to print making to photography, even pottery and jewelry.
Participants should bring 5 samples of their art they feel are appropriate for greeting cards – or cards already made from their art – to share.
